NLC India Limited (NLCIL) is a central public sector undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. It was formerly known as Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited. NLC is headquartered in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu. NLCIL is one of the largest lignite mining and power generation companies in India.
