What you will Do

1. Financial Management:

• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles and standards.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing actionable recommendations to senior management.

1. Strategic Planning and Analysis:

• Collaborate with the Flipkart Controller and executive team to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, supporting effective decision-making and resource allocation.

1. Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, reporting standards, and tax laws.
• Coordinate with external auditors and oversee annual financial audits, maintaining a robust internal control environment.

1. Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and professional growth.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

1. Financial Systems and Technology:

• Continuously assess and recommend improvements to financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging financial technologies and tools, leveraging them to optimize financial operations.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting. CA qualification is a must.
• 10-12 years of proven experience as a Finance Controller, Financial Manager, or a similar role in a reputable organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Strong understanding and experience on application of Accounting Standards, basic knowledge of US GAAP.
• Ensure Coordination and closure of all statutory audit, Month end closure under I GAAP and US GAAP in time for year
• Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with the ability to leverage technology for process improvement.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
• High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism in dealing with sensitive financial information.
