Qualification
a) Forestry research/ academic professionals with doctorate and 15 years of experience in relevant field. OR Masters with 15 years of service in Indian Forest Service out of which a minimum of 5 years’ experience in forestry research/ academics with special reference to climate change. b) Publications in reputed national and international journals with special reference to climate change. c) Experience in formulation and successful implementation of national/ international level project and experience in monitoring of the projects. d) Experience of working with Govt. of India organization and networking with Government/ Non-Governmental national and international organizations.
Desirable
Qualifications
a) National/ international recognition in relevant field. b) Member/ fellow of various national and international academic councils/ bodies. c) Experience in modern scientific techniques including GIS & IT based solution.

Vacancy :
The interested persons are to send their curriculum vitae along with all necessary documents in support of qualifications and experiences etc. to the Director (International Cooperation), Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, P.O. New Forest, Dehradun – 248 006 (Uttarakhand), along with non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- in the form of a demand draft/ Cheque (at par) in favour of DDO, ICFRE Revenue Account, payable at Dehradun. Those who have applied earlier, need not to apply again. Last date for submission of application: 31/10/2023.
General
Instructions
a) A memorandum of agreement shall be signed by the Chair between the ICFRE and the person appointed to the Chair. b) The duration of the Chair shall be up to the period of 12 months and extendable by a maximum period of up to 12 months by DG, ICFRE. c) The Chair may leave the position giving two-month advance notice. d) The duration of the Chair may be curtailed by the Director General, ICFRE, if the performance of the Chair is not satisfactory. e) Head Quarter of the chair shall be at the ICFRE (HQ). f) All the materials, modules, course curricula etc., developed by the Chair shall be the property of the ICFRE.
