Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls specific to lending operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the lending business, including loan processing, disbursements, repayments, and collections.

- Monitor and analyze lending portfolio performance, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

- Collaborate with internal teams, such as underwriting, credit risk, and loan servicing, to streamline processes and optimize operational efficiency.

- Manage reconciliation activities related to lending transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.

- Coordinate with external partners, such as banks, credit bureaus, NBFCs and regulatory bodies, to maintain strong relationships and stay abreast of industry developments.

- Provide guidance and support to lending operations staff, ensuring proper training, performance management, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

- Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations.

- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies relevant to lending operations.

- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

 

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Masters degree preferred but not essential).

- Extensive experience in financial operations, specifically in the lending business, with a focus on loan processing, disbursements, and collections.

- In-depth knowledge of lending regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.

- Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide strategic insights.

- Proficiency in using financial software and tools for data analysis, reporting, and loan portfolio management.

- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, quality, and compliance.

- Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations in a lending environment.

- Ability to adapt to changing business needs, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
