Job
Responsibilities

1. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) shall function under the general supervision and guidance of the President, NaCSA. 2. The CEO- i. Shall prepare and prescribe the duties and responsibilities of the Executive and other staffs of NaCSA, over whom he shall exercise complete disciplinary control in accordance with such rules and regulations as may be approved by the Governing Council. ii. Shall be responsible for implementing the Better Management Practices (BMPs) in coastal aquaculture farming areas for ensuring sustainability of operation through the technical services extended by NaCSA and similar other works as outlined in the MOA of NaCSA. iii. Shall carry out his functions as stipulated in the Memorandum and articles of Association of NaCSA. iv. Shall convene meetings of the Governing Council as well as the general body, in consultation with the President NaCSA. v. Shall issue notices for the meetings of the Society and maintain the records of such meetings. vi. Shall prepare the agenda for such meetings with the approval of the President NaCSA. vii. Shall place before the Governing Council all important correspondences up to the date of the meeting. viii. Shall take appropriate steps to execute the decisions of the Governing Council. ix. Shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Governing Council or delegated by the President NaCSA. x. Shall give effect to the directions or decisions of the Governing Council and General Body meeting. xi. Shall maintain the proceedings of all such meetings. xii. Shall make arrangements for the conduct of the business of the Society and overall control over office. xiii. Shall maintain the accounts of the Society. xiv. Shall keep custody of all documents and records of the Society. xv. Shall represent NaCSA in all legal proceedings. xvi. Shall make correspondence with general public, Govt. department, other institutions on behalf of the Society. xvii. Shall keep liaison with MPEDA & its field offices, other Societies, Farmers Associations, Hatchery Associations, Seafood Exporters Associations, Financial Institutions and other stake holders to ensure smooth functioning of the Society. xviii. Shall carry out the directions and other duties as assigned by the President NaCSA from time to time with due diligence. xix. Shall make all such efforts and measures as may be required to achieve the objective of the Society. )0:. If at any stage, it is discovered that any attempt has been made by the applicant to willfully conceal or misrepresent any fact, his/her candidature will be summarily rejected or his /her appointment will be terminated
