Essential Qualifications, Experience, etc. for the Post of Associate Professor

Officers of Central Government, State Government, Statutory Organizations, Autonomous Bodies, PSUs,
University, or Research Institutions:
Holding an analogous Post on a Regular Basis with the following Essential Qualifications:

1. Post-Graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned Subject recognized under IMCC Act, 1970.
2. 5 Years Teaching Experience out of which 3 Years in Post-Graduate Teaching in the concerned Subject or 5
   Years Research Experience in PB-3 (Rs. 15,600–39,100) with GP Rs. 6,600 with NPA.
   OR
   10 Years of Combined Experience in Teaching as Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned Subject or 10
   Years Research Experience in the Pay Scale of PB-3 (Rs. 15,600–39,100) with GP of Rs. 6,600 and GP of Rs.
   5,400, respectively out of which at least 2 Years of Post-Graduate Teaching Experience/Research Experience in
   PB-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with GP of Rs. 6,600.
3. Minimum 3 Research Publications indexed in Index Medicus or National Journals.

OR
Persons with 5 Years Regular Service out of which 3 Years in Post-Graduate Teaching in the concerned subject or
5 Years Research Experience in the Pay Scale of PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6,600 + NPA.
OR
10 Years Combined Experience of Teaching as Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned subject or 10 Years
Research Experience in the Pay Scale of PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6,600 and Grade Pay Rs.
5,400, respectively with NPA out of which at least 2 Years of Post-Graduate Teaching Experience/Research
Experience in PB-3 with Grade Pay Rs. 6,600.
AND
(i) PG Qualification in Ayurveda in the concerned subject recognized under IMCC Act, 1970.
(ii) Minimum 3 Research Publications indexed in Index Medicus or National Journals.

Pay Scale

Pay Level-12, Pay Matrix Rs. 78,800-2,09,200 + NPA

Age Limit

Not exceeding 56 Years on the Closing Date.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS

1. Applications are to be filled Online only in the Portal given on the Website nia.nic.in from 19-7-2023.
2. The Applicant must be a Citizen of India.
3. The Essential Qualifications prescribed should be recognized under IMCC Act 1970/ NCISM Act 2020.
4. Pay Band, Grade Pay (or Corresponding Pay Level and Pay Matrix) and NPA mentioned in the Essential
   Qualifications are applicable for all candidates equally irrespective of experience in Teaching or Research side.
5. The Caste/EWS Certificate should be in the manner and Form prescribed by the Central Govt. only. All such
   Certificates should be of the current year failing which the Application is liable to be rejected summarily.
6. The crucial date for determining the Age Limit for all Applicants will be the Closing Date for Receipt of
   Online Applications, i.e. 31-8-2023.
7. The Pay Scales in NIA carry usual Allowances admissible under Central Government Rules and applicable in the Institute.
8. Applicants already in Central/State Govt. Service like Offices/Organizations/Institutes/University, etc. must
   upload No Objection Certificate and Vigilance Certificate from Employer along with the Application.
9. The Period of Deputation Including Short-Term Contract will be for 3 Years or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
10. The Closing Date for Form Filling by Online is 5 PM on 31-8-2023.
11. An Application Processing & Intimation Fee of Rs. 4,000 for General and OBC Candidates and Rs. 3,500 for SC,
    ST and EWS Candidates, is payable with each Application. Applicants belonging to Physically Handicapped and
    Ex-Servicemen need not pay the Application Processing & Intimation Fee.
12. The Fees once remitted will not be refunded in any case, including rejection of Application.
13. The Institute will not be responsible for any delay in filling the Application in the Portal due to any reason, whatsoever.
14. The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all applications or to cancel the recruitment process for this
    Post without assigning any reason thereof, whatsoever.
15. The Institute reserves the right to make any criteria for Selection/Interview, amendment, cancellation, or changes
    pertaining to this Vacancy Notification without assigning any reason thereof, whatsoever.
16. Any further information, corrigendum, notice, order, amendment, updates, etc. regarding this Vacancy Notification
    will be posted and displayed only on the Website of the Institute and will not be published in Employment News or
