SSC MTS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Any candidate applying for SSC MTS and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Exam 2023 must fulfil the Eligibility Criteria, which include fulfillment of age limit, education qualification, etc., as follows:-

Educational Qualifications:-

• Passed 10th Class (Matriculation) Examination or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Board as on or before the cut-off date, i.e. 01-08-2023

Age Limitation:-

• The age limits as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:-
  • Above 18 years and below 25 years as on 01-08-2023 (i.e. Aspirants should not have been born earlier than 02-08-1998 and later than 01-08-2005) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue).
  • Above 18 years and below 27 years as on 01-08-2023 (i.e. Aspirants should not have been born earlier than 02-08-1996 and later than 01-08-2005) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS.
• The Upper Age Relaxation for different categories as per the Govt Norms is as under:-
  • Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST): 05 years
  • Other Backward Class (OBC): 03 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years
  • OBC + Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 13 years
  • SC/ SC + Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 03 years (i.e. after deduction of a military service rendered from the actual age.

SSC MTS 2023 Pay Scale

About Salary: For Multi Tasking Staff & Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Posts, the selected candidates will be paid in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission. However, the basic salary of MTS will be around Rs. 18,000/- to Rs. 22,000/-. The salary would vary depending on the candidate’s job location.

About Mode of Selection: Staff Selection Commission Selection Process for MTS (NT) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Vacancies may consist of the following examinations:-

• MTS (Non-Technical):-
  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE)
• Havaldar (CBIC & CBN)
  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)

The Computer Based Examination for MTS & Havaldar Posts will be conducted in 02 (two) Sessions, i.e. Session-I and Session-II. Both Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. The performance of the candidate in Session-I will be evaluated first. The Session-II performance would be evaluated, only if a candidate qualifies in Session-I.
