Qualification
No person shall be eligible for appointment to the post of GRADUATE TEACHERS/ BLOCK RESOURCE TEACHER EDUCATORS (BRTE), unless he/she possesses the minimum educational qualifications as follows: (i) Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known); or (ii) Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.); or (iii) Graduation with at least 45% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard; or (iv) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.); or (v) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4- year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.; or (vi) Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed., (Special Education); and Must have obtained a degree or its equivalent with such Subjects or Languages in respect of which recruitment is made; and Pass in Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper – II with relevant optional subject for direct recruitment: Provided that the candidates possessing the educational qualifications prescribed in (i), (iv) and (vi) above shall be eligible for appointment as Graduate Teacher (Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and Geography) to Classes VI to VIII:

Instructions
A. Candidates should ensure that they have their scanned recent colour passport size photograph (JPG/JPEG /PNG format of size 20-60 KB) and signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format of size 10-30 KB) separately. The candidates have to upload their photo image and signature image while applying Online. The Online application uploaded without the candidate’s photograph and candidate’s signature will be summarily rejected. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. B. A valid e-mail id and Mobile Number of candidates are mandatory for registration and e-mail id should be kept active as all the communications will be sent to the registered e-mail id only. C. Candidates should avoid uploading of password protected copy of documents in which case applications shall be summarily rejected. D. Candidates should avoid scanning the documents through mobiles as the documents uploaded are not clearly visible in majority of the cases. E. Candidates are advised to check the filled in Online application along with the required scanned copy of documents as per sl.no 6 above before the final submission. 29 | P a g e F. Candidates without the uploaded documents of 10th / SSLC Certificate, HSC Certificate or its equivalent, two year Diploma Elementary Education or both UG mark sheet & Degree certificate, both B.Ed mark sheet and Degree certificate, will be rejected. G. In respect of recruitment to this post, the Candidates shall mandatorily upload the certificates / documents (in support of all the claims made /details furnished in the Online application Community Certificate, priority Certificates of PSTM / PWD and Transgender) at the time of submission of Online application itself. It shall be ensured by the Candidates that the Online application shall not be submitted without uploading the required Documents/certificates. H. The onus is on the applicants to upload the softcopy of relevant documents. Any subsequent claim made thereafter on submission of Online application will not be entertained at any cost. I. The number of vacancies notified is only tentative and it is liable for modification with reference to vacancy position of user departments before finalization of provisional selection. J. Possession or use of electronic devices such as Mobile phone, Micro phone or any other Associated Accessories, Calculator, Log Tables, Pager, Digital Diary, Books, Electronic equipment or gadgets, etc., are strictly prohibited in the Examination Hall. If any candidate is found in possession of any of these devices/documents, candidate’s candidature is liable to be cancelled. Also, the candidate should not bring any valuables to the Examination Centre and the Centre shall not be responsible for their safe custody. K. Candidates will have to bear their own expenses to attend the Examination and the Certificate Verification, if called for. No T.A./D.A. will be paid. L. In the Process of recruitment, the decision of the Teachers Recruitment Board is final. M. Online application can be submitted till the last date/time of submission of Application after which the link will be disabled. N. All Candidates are instructed to go through the Sl.No.5 “How to apply” carefully before filling in the Online application. O. All the particulars mentioned in the Online application will be 30 | P a g e considered as final and no modifications will be allowed after the submission of the application. Once an application is submitted, no further request for change of details will be entertained. Hence, the applicants are instructed to fill the Online application with utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained. P. It is the responsibility of the candidate to prove that he is eligible for the particular post beyond doubt. The onus of proving qualifications, community, date of birth, other special reservation claimed, lies on the candidate only. Q. Mere submission of application and appearing in the examination, does not provide any right for provisional selection. R. The selection for appointment to the post is purely provisional subject to the final orders in the Writ Petitions, if any, pending on the files of the Hon’ble High Court of Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court.
